Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026
The short version. The Diskflag app runs entirely on your PC and sends us nothing. This website measures visits with Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics. When you buy, Stripe handles your payment and shares your name, email and order details with us so we can deliver Diskflag and support you. We never see your card number, and we never sell your information.
This policy explains what Velorank LLC ("we", "us") collects through the Diskflag app and the website diskflag.com, and how we use it. Questions or requests: scottfoster@velorank.net.
The Diskflag app
Diskflag runs on your computer and doesn't need an internet connection. It reads the names, sizes and dates of files on the drives you scan, and saves scan results on your PC in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Diskflag so the map opens quickly next time. None of this is sent to us or anyone else. The app has no account, no telemetry and no crash reporting.
This website
- Analytics. We use two analytics services to understand how the site is used. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views, referring sites, and broad device and country information without cookies. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits, pages viewed, how you reached the site and your approximate location; Google processes this data under Google's Privacy Policy. We don't use either service for advertising, and we never send your order number to Google. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
- Hosting logs. Our host, Vercel, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
When you buy Diskflag
- Payments. Stripe processes your payment. Stripe collects your payment details, email address and billing country or address. We receive your name, email, the amount paid and your country, but never your full card number. Stripe's handling of your data is covered by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Download verification. Your download page link includes your order number. When you use it, our server checks the order with Stripe and records how many times it has been downloaded on that order's record in Stripe.
- Email. We use your email address only to deliver your purchase, process refunds and answer your support requests. We don't send marketing emails unless you ask to receive them.
Why we use your information
We use it to sell and deliver Diskflag (performing our contract with you), to prevent fraud and misuse of download links, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. We use website analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it (our legitimate interest).
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the site and process payments: Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Google (analytics). We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal obligations, which is usually up to 7 years. Support emails are kept while we're helping you and for a reasonable time afterward. Vercel analytics are kept in aggregate form. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, and then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK and California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to or limit how we use it. To make a request, email scottfoster@velorank.net from the address you bought with. We'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We're based in the United States, and Stripe and Vercel may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
Diskflag isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on this page.
